Frederick pediatrician charged with rape released on bail

Dr. Ernesto Torres, a Frederick pediatrician who is charged with raping a female patient, was released from jail Wednesday night after he posted bond.

Torres, who is charged with a count of second-degree rape, second-degree assault and fourth-degree sexual offense, was ordered by Judge Julia Martz-Fisher to be released on home detention after he posted a $100,000 bond.
