Pediatrician charged with rape posts bail after being given $400,000 bond

A judge ordered Dr. Ernesto Torres, a Frederick pediatrician charged with rape, to be held on $400,000 bail Tuesday after he was indicted on 65 additional counts.

Torres, 68, posted bail Tuesday and was released, according to electronic court records.

Under his bail conditions, Torres, of the 7600 block of San Di Gan Drive, will not be able to practice medicine while the charges are in place, cannot have unsupervised contact with females 18 years and younger and will remain on home detention.
